How to use OpenSSH

Note: I'm not taking responsibility for any causes of damage or any changes on your device. You do this at your own risk.

1. Start by going to http://winscp.net/eng/index.php and download the newest version of Wscript installer. Save it to your desktop and launch the installer.

2. Just click next through the whole guide, no changes are needed.

3. When it's installed, you need to go to your jailbroken iDevice and search for "openSSH" in cydia. Install it.
4. You won't see any new app or anything but it's installed on your iphone when it says so.

5. Now make sure that your computer and your iphone is on the same network.

6. In your device, go to settings -> Wi-Fi  and press the blue arrow that is to the right of your chosen network. You will see your IP-adress. It will for example look like "192.168.0.0" but with different digits.

7. Remember these digits, because you'll need them.

8. Connect your device to your computer.

9. Now launch Winscp on your computer. Now a box will pop up. You need to pay attention to three things:
Host, User and Password.
10. The Host's name is your networks IP adress. so when you've entered it, it should look like this;
Host: 192.168.0.0 , but with your digits.

11. The username is "root". so just enter the word root.

12. The password is "alpine". so just enter the word alpine.

13. Press login. It's different for every computer, on some computers you will get into your iphone at the first try, and for some other computers you need to login a few times before it works.

14. When you've successfully logged in, you should be able to see all the files inside your iphone.
